Many areas in Minnesota and Northwestern Ontario have received considerable rain during the months of September and October. Local rivers which were almost dry earlier in the summer have rebound and in some locations spilling their bank.
Lake Superior has recovered some water with the above normal rain fall across the region. Lake Superior began October below record low-levels but has gained almost 7.5 inches . from its lowest point in August. The lake still remains 13 and 3/4 inches below normal for October.
