January 1, 2008 ~ Thunder Bay  Henry Judge is the first baby born in Thunder Bay in 2008. Congratuations to proud parents Mike and Kristi Judge, grandparents Ross and Cynthia Judge and Bruce and Debbie Hyndle, who operate the Crystal Beach Road House on Highway 11 17 in Shuniah.

Kristi gave birth  to Henry at 5:54 a.m. on January 1st. Henry Judge weighed in at a healthy eight pounds, nine ounces. He is a little brother to Riley,

The Thunder Bay Source reported that Kristi Judge said she was shocked to learn Henry was the New Year's baby. "I didn't expect it, six hours after midnight," she said. "I didn't think he would still qualify as the New Year's baby. But it was pretty quiet in here last night, so we pretty much had it hands down, apparently. They kind of knew as soon as we walked in that he would be the one."

The radiant mother, who napped on and off with her son, between visits from Dad - the football coach at Hammarskjold High School - and Henry's older brother Riley, said the latest addition to their household was simply following a family tradition with his arrival, which came a couple of days ahead of schedule.
